The main processing unit is the same, whatever the brand is (Philips, Radiola ou Schneider).

2 versions of the motherboard

Look at the differences, they are around the ROM Integrated Circuits.
The first one has a "daughter board" with two 8 KB circuits (TMS 4764), the first VG5000s (with Basic v1.0) are like this one (Clic on the picture to zoom in).

Then, it will be fitted with a 16 KB ROM.

By the way, the VG5000 motherboard is very simple: a CPU, graphic controller, ROM, RAM and some logic ICs.
